Q: What made you want to be a client services manager?
A: I really enjoy working with customers and being a face for the company who helps walk people through the process and manage expectations so as to provide as satisfying an experience as possible and give them a good first impression of our business.
Q: What are some things you’ve learned throughout your career?
A: I’ve learned how to effectively communicate with other people, how to step in the shoes of the consumer and understand things from their perspective and how to serve as an impartial advocate for the lender and borrower alike.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: I love spending time with my family and taking my nieces to a new park every Sunday, we figure out where to go by looking up reviews on Yelp for places that are within 20 miles of where we live so that the kids don’t get bored in the car. One park we really enjoyed had a pirate ship playground which was really cute! I also like traveling and one of my favorite places I’ve been to was Thailand a few years ago.
Q: If you were trapped on a desert island what are a few things you’d like to have with you?
A: I would bring any albums from the band Journey as they remind me of my dad, sun tan lotion because my skin burns in the sun easily and a yurt which is way better than a tent, roomier and more comfortable by far.
Q: Do you have any favorite dishes that you’re fond of?
A: I personally love shabu-shabu and enjoy making my own lasagna, which the old-fashioned way takes about eight hours to get right and make all the layers of noodles and cheese.
Q: Finally, do you have any advice you’d like to give, whether it be related to your profession or life in general?
A: Yes, I believe there’s often a reason why our customers might react negatively over the phone and I want to understand things from their point of view so as to rectify any issues they have. My advice is to be kind to everyone and in everything you do, it’s the most underrated emotion you could give freely.
